Paramount takes largest Omme Lift

Paramount Platforms will be the first UK company to own the latest tracked boom lift from Omme Lift.
Paramount has ordered the 42 m working height Omme Lift 4200 RBDJ, its largest crawler mounted boom to date.

Paramount purchased its first Omme Lift last year, investing in two 37 m tracked booms which are popular in
telecommunication applications and for commercial window cleaning or facilities maintenance in London, where narrow access is often a challenge.

Paramount has a growing fleet of tracked lifts and truck mounted booms and offers experienced operators with its Omme Lift machines. APS is the exclusive UK distributor for Omme Lift.
Lee Kerr of Paramount Platforms said, “We continue to invest in our rental fleet to meet growing customer demand. We wanted a versatile machine that performs equally well on rough terrain for phone mast work as it would in a shopping centre putting up the Christmas lights. The hybrid power train is a very important criterion for our London work, along with a light weight and compact dimensions.”

Omme Lift officially unveiled the new 4200 RBDJ at APEX 2014 in June. Two of Paramount’s directors visited the show and placed the first order after seeing the machine in the metal.
Features include a 400Ah battery pack, which is automatically recharged when the diesel engine is deployed and eliminates the ‘voltage drop’ issue that can impede the operation of mains-powered machines. Weighing 6,805kg it offers the ability to set up on inclines of up to 27%. Stowed height is less than 2 m and length is 8.90 m. The basket is easily detachable, delivering a more compact travel length of 8.30m.
