Cranes & Access in Concord

Denmark's oldest beacon – called the Kaaver, was first raised in 1624 on the Danish North Sea island Fanoe. Although the beacon no longer had any navigational significance in the 20th century, it was to some extent maintained by timber replacements, general repairs and also regularly painted. But in an autumn storm on 19th October 1935 the old Kaaver got ruined.

A number of local entrepreneurs wanted to rebuild it and it was raised again during a weekend in October 2011. The new construction is an exact copy of the Kaaver from 1935.

The Ommelifts (type 2600 RBD) were on hire from Riwal and the crane from Danish company BMS.
